Module 5 is about getting social- on social media. I’m already fairly active on Facebook, but I haven’t gotten on Twitter yet. I have been thinking about it lately, and I’m glad for this push to get on. When I was at CAMT a few weeks ago, I wrote down several Twitter handles, and I’ll be looking those up once I unpack from my travels.
I tried to tie my handle to this blog, but with a limitation on space, I could only do @practiceofteach for a handle. I may end up changing it, but for now, I’ll keep it. I think I want to keep Twitter as an educational tool rather than a social media tool. I’ve tried to make FB into more of that, but FB is getting really repetitive.
So far here is my first tweet, and a reply to a tweet.
And a re-tweet:
I’m hoping that I can keep up with Twitter and use it for good PD. That remains to be seen I suppose. I got an Instagram but didn’t use it much since it’s blocked in China. Twitter is, too, but since it’s more accessible on a computer, I’m sure it’ll be easier to do than Instagram.
I’m still struggling to put a profile pic up. It keeps freezing up on me when I try. WordPress did that too, so maybe I need to restart the browser to reset it.
